If you are half as excited as we are about all of the renovations happening at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a part of Project 100, then we want to make sure you are updated as often as possible! Below we have some new pictures from the construction sites this week, shot by IMS photographer Chris Owens.
The new black track fencing will cover over 500,000 square feet alongside the famous 2.5-mile oval, give fans cleaner visibility and provide easier maintenance.
Crews are continuing to remove the roof from Penthouse seating. IMS will have more of “the best seats in the house” plus ADA accessibility we’ve never had before.
We’ll be (literally) raising the roof in this area leading into Turn 1. If you sit here, you’re going to love the new view!
We’ve had some great weather for the crews working in the upper deck. Every week this area looks a little different.
On Georgetown Road, crews are removing power lines to make room for new elevators and walkways behind Paddock seating.
