During this time of the year we have the opportunity to reflect on all of the things we are thankful for. Your favorite INDYCAR drivers have given us a glimpse into their holiday season by telling us what it is they are thankful for.

“I have so much to be thankful for in my life right now. I’m thankful for my beautiful wife and two wonderful sons and all of the support that my family gives me every day to continue to pursue my career. I’m also thankful for my health and that I have the opportunity and ability to keep doing what I love, racing.”

Gabby Chaves is spending his holiday season delivering “Blessing Bags” to the less fortunate on the streets of Indianapolis (blanket, gloves, hat, etc.) and planning to drop of dog food/treats, toys, and other essential pet things to local dog shelters.

“The things I am thankful for as we come to this Thanksgiving would be first and foremost my health and the blessings I have in my life; my family (including my furry children), friends, and loved ones. Without their love and support, and the blessing to be alive, I would not be able to achieve my goals and live my dream. I am also thankful for one of my other favorite things in life, which is doing what I love for a living, being a racecar driver and everything that comes with it. I am thankful to be able to share my experience with the people that have sacrificed and put so much effort into helping me make my dream become reality.”

“Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I’ve really come to embrace it since I moved to America several years ago. There is nothing better than sitting around a table with family, friends and a big Tommy (that’s just how I call the turkey). Food is definitely one of my passions, especially potato salad. That was also new to me when I moved here.

I am very thankful that I’ve been able to live out my dream of being a professional racecar driver. I’m thankful that I’ve been given the opportunity to drive for one of the best race teams in the world in Team Penske, competing at a high level in the Verizon IndyCar Series. And I’m very thankful for my girlfriend Hailey, my family and all of my friends for always being there for me.”

“I am thankful for my team, and all the effort they put in for 2015 and I am excited for 2016 to get here.

I am thankful for my family, and everything they do to make life fun, exciting and enjoyable.

I am thankful for Courtney, and the new life that we have ahead of us and all the fun we are going to have.

I am thankful for cars, because without cars I would probably be bored…

I am thankful for my fans, and for everyone that stuck with me through the bad years and were able to enjoy this 2015 season with me so much.

I am thankful for our military, the brave men and women that keep us safe and free in this great country.

Lastly, I am very thankful for all of our sponsors for supporting us and allowing me to live out my dreams and race Indy cars for a living.”
