Jimmie Johnson crosses the Yard of Bricks after winning the Allstate 400 in 2006

Jimmie Johnson, six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, completed a sweep of this year’s Texas Motor Speedway races this weekend, but do you remember when Johnson won his first time at the Brickyard?

In the 2006 Allstate 400, Johnson passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. with six laps left to win at Indy for the first time, and became only the second driver to win both the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 in the same year. The other was Dale Jarrett in 1996.
