Bio:

Colin Edwards, a Houston native, is one of the most successful American motorcycle road racers on the world stage in the last decade. Edwards won the Superbike World Championship in 2000 and 2002 before climbing to the top level of the sport, the MotoGP World Championship, in 2003. He rode as a Yamaha teammate to seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi from 2005-07. Nicknamed “The Texas Tornado,” Edwards has raced for the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team since 2008. He finished fifth in the World Championship in 2009, the top rider not on a factory team. Edwards, 36, has legions of fans worldwide due to his smooth, yet fast, riding style and his colorful, outspoken personality. He lives near Houston with his wife and their three children.
