What do a brick, trophy, ticket and milk have in common? They set the stage for legendary performances and dramatic defeats. They inspire us to succeed on the grandest stage. They take us back in time and awaken memories that stir the soul. They represent an entire lifetime of hopes and dreams. Welcome to the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. The Most Important Race in History.

All that’s left is to say: Ready? Set? GO!

Outstanding billboard. The 500 needs to catch the younger generation without losing the loyal fans. This billboard does both. Current and longtime fans know the Borg-Warner Trophy, so you have peaked their interest for the month of May. Younger or new fans will get a chuckle out of the clever wording, so you have grabbed the attention of a new generation. Long live the 500 – I am ready for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing!
Love it! Can’t wait for May!
The first man I ever saw without pants on when I was a young girl, was someone running around the snake pit. LOL. Considering I grew up going to the race, and I love every inch of that speedway, and I love every kind of race fan- I LOVE this new add. Make me giggle. And I love each precious memory I have made at the IMS, over the past 40 years. Good job. Race on!
That’s the kind of ad that should run in every college newspaper in Indiana. Those papers are inexpensive and 100 percent your target market. Give the college kids a carload price on practice and qualifying days.
The Speedway should have never shut the infield down!!
This was the birth canal for future race fans!!! as you partied in the infield you was dreaming of sitting in the grandstands someday, then you did!
I totally agree with troy cowan.
The Speedway infield as a birth canal. Interesting mataphor. No further comment.
Very nice I like the contrast that it gives to the 100th logo looks cool.Great attention getter. This May will be so special with all the extra activities!!!
I see the television and internet video spots now. Fade in, pan, music, . . . “let’s have a party, let’s get it started” . . .
love how it gets straight to the point, on the party!
see you in May
I like this. Signals a new era in “500″ marketing. Goes back to ” lets have fun at the track ! ” There is a reason it is called “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing “. Though Tom C. will be GREATLY missed ! First 100 done & 2nd to begin !!!
I’m agreeing with the others, the billboard looks great and let’s bring the party festival back to the speedway.
Although I’ve aged out of the ‘snake pit’ it should be brought back for the new generation to carry on their yearly tradition of going to the speedway. The speedway infield needs more than just the miller lite concert stage.
IMS is Heaven! Mr. Penske is the God!
I stopped going to the speedway every year after they started slowing the cars down to speeds where bobby rahal couldnt make the race with a 223 avg they have taken the fun out of walking around the infield and I use to enjoy coming to qualifying but since they wont let them go atleast 230 why make the drive, i hope the 100th race is great, but roger is king and I dont like any of his drivers you cant tell me there is not one american that paid his dues in midgets and sprints that could pilot one of his cars like mears, and little al did there still out there roger chip give the american guys a chance you wont be disapointed
