If you look at the left control box on the top of the grandstand and notice the tree behind thats where I park my RV for the race week. Right in the shadow of the Pagoda! Can’t wait till May!

we park in Lot 2 right across the street behind the right control box… our 500 seats are in this picture up in the shade of the overhang and the first support pole to the right of the crows nest, just to the left of the right edge of this photo……we are right across from the pagoda, pit action, winners circle…. oh yeah, the burn out tire marks from the Brickyard 400 are still on the track!! we were there for that race as well.

    Rick,
I go to all the races as well, used to set close to yours but now in B pent. I actually like the prerace and post race events better in Paddock penthouse but love the racing view down the front straight where they are comming straight at you. I usually go down by the winners circle to watch the post race affairs! It will be here before you know it!

Thanks for rubbing it in Rick! MINUS TEN currently in the western ‘burbs of Chicago under sunny skies. I’d love to watch the start from the roof of the Pagoda prior to assuming my place in NE Vista Section 12. (a.k.a. the SWEET SPOT!) Is the tan line running through the lower level from rust dripping off the upper level?

I remember when this photo shoot became public knowledge and many were upset that the public wasn’t invited to watch. Looking at the clean photos with zero distractions from people, it makes sense now.
