Let me know what you think?

Possibly taken in the North Chute, just past the gravel road to the Fire Truck hard stand. The asphalt extending up passed the track could be the overlay for Tunnel 10… Maybe??
David, I think this is actually coming off the backstretch entering Turn 3. The pavement below the yellow line I believe is the beginning of what passed for a warmup or emergency slow lane in those days.
I was taken entering Turn 3 . . . trust me – I was there….
What a glorious day that was…can still remember Gordo rolling to a stop in front of us in the Southwest Vista…woo-hoo!
You are right, the gravel road goes back back to Fire Truck 3. We were on the Infield in Turn 2. I got out to see AJ make the Victory Ride with the Pace Car. First & only time Tony Hulman rode with the winner. Also last time I ever saw him. Glad the rain showers held off till about 45 min after the race. Also glad AJ gave Tony one last Indy thrill. Shinin’ Times for sure! PS I still can not hear the audio that Donald recorded for this entry.
I also can’t hear Donald’s commentary. This has never happened before with any of the Speedway’s blog posts.
WEBMASTER: I have tried to play this on three different computers, and the audio would not play on any of them. Can you please repost? Thank you.
Mr. Davidson’s audio is not audible. Thank you for your time and effort.
Same here. Please fix it, I would love to hear another interesting story by Donald Davidson. Thanks!
Thank you for fixing the audio. Worth the wait.
