Nice shot from when gentlemen were gentlemen. These fellows were champions and dressed and acted the part.

It’s always interesting to see which drivers these days choose to wear a proper coat and tie to the victory banquet and which ones look as though they just threw on whatever was in their closet (and then wonder why they can’t attract a sponsor)…

Neat Pic of Mario, Graham, Jackie and Sid. I agree those guys were all class acts. I also see a photo of A.J. Foyt winning in 1961. I attended that race and it was a classic battle between A.J. and the late Eddie Sachs(memorium, 1964). Those guys were real American race drivers in their day. That was one race I still have distinct memories!

Donald, the reason the three are together: This had to have been at the 1967 banquet, and Mario, Graham and Jackie were the new inductees, having all led their first race in 1966.

This pic is back in the day when the owners PAID the drivers just to drive their car. Drivers didnt have to “bring money” to get a ride. They were chosen by the owners and paid to drive their race cars due to their talent. AND..that..race fans, is why the best drivers around were at Indianapolis and not just the drivers who cud bring the most money or biggest sponsor like today. They really were the best of the best! Notice the cars of the past rarely had the big time sponsors but carried the name s of the owner or the owners business etc. ..ie Dean Van Lines, Hopkins Spc, Zink Spc., Leader Card, etc. There was the Bowes Seal fast, Bardahl, and other large companies BUT the drivers were still paid to drive the cars plus usually 40% of the purse.

Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it

Wonderful blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!

For people that have seen a number of too many holiday seasons, the remoteness we now have in contemporary society is fairly shocking

When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added”
checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several e-mails with the same comment.

Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
    Thanks a lot!

    Pen Drive Promocional

They are less expensive than their earlier counterparts inside sense when they had to buy the other storage devices only to equate the space to the pen drive, then the cost works over to be much more
